photo shop crit

There were many different aspects of my project I would have changed.  Some of the negatives people were pointing out were about the legs and the toilet and how a part of them was blue.  This could have been fixed if I had taken more pictures at different angles.  Some other things that were pointed out were at the top how it looked like an eraser had been used because the walls didn't match up. They also didn't know what the mushrooms on the ground were and said the saturation needed to be turned down.  Some people also said my body in the middle looked like it was hovering off the ground and that I could have used a shadow.  There went that many positive aspects of this piece.  It did have a surreal vibe and someone said the three orange objects in the front worked.  Overall, I was not very happy with this piece and I probably would have changed the whole concept if I could go back now.

My Five Year Plan

My Five Year Plan I am not positive on where I’m going to be in five years, geographically but I hope mentally to be really happy with myself as a person and be surrounded by people I love, and have a fun job teaching kids art.  I feel like right now most people have a hard time knowing who they really are and what they want out of this life and I myself am definitely struggling with those questions as well. I know I won’t have it all figured out by twenty-five but thinking about it now finding self-happiness and love is the most important thing you can do when you’re young. People always say this is the time to be selfish.  By twenty-five, I want to have traveled to at least 5 countries and hiked the Appalachian Trail, which I’m planning to do right after I graduate. It will be like my own quest to Mordor like in Lord of the Rings and I hope to do the whole thing straight through from Maine to Georgia. Relationship wise I would like to be in a serious rela...

Trump and the " Society of the Spectacle"

Reading this article doesn't surprise me.  I think that what Debord is saying is that in today's world we are so absorbed in other peoples thoughts and opinions on social media, television, radio that we can never decide for ourselves what true and false.  We cant even get a sense of what is really said or going on sometimes because we get so mixed up in everything we see.  Even with the parodies of trump, there is certain biased information that is portrayed as fact.  Pictures can be altered to the point that we don't even know what the original looked like and I think that goes for information as well.
