Trump and the " Society of the Spectacle"

Reading this article doesn't surprise me.  I think that what Debord is saying is that in today's world we are so absorbed in other peoples thoughts and opinions on social media, television, radio that we can never decide for ourselves what true and false.  We cant even get a sense of what is really said or going on sometimes because we get so mixed up in everything we see.  Even with the parodies of trump, there is certain biased information that is portrayed as fact.  Pictures can be altered to the point that we don't even know what the original looked like and I think that goes for information as well.
